I agree with you! Having seen the movie on Friday night, I really found it to be a terrible bore. They took funny scenes from the first two movies and reincorporated them into this one - lame. I also felt much of the scenes could've been drastically shortened. And what's up with Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightley - they fought through the whole movie and avoided each other, then he proposes and she accepts?!?!! I found that most disgusting of all.

personally, i think this was the best movie overall of the trilogy (although it was definitely NOT the best plot). I think it was the most humorous, action pact, romantic, emotional movie of the trilogy. and yes, it was long, but i've already seen it twice and both times it felt like i was only sitting there for an hour and a half...not close to 3 hours.
i think the second one is pretty much crap compared with the other 2. that one was just overly long and dragged on.
and the first one, well that one stands alone. it was definitely amazing and is still one of my fav. movies of ALL time (...i now the at world's end is my favorite! never thought i'd say that!!)

Yeah, it wasn't the best of the series so far - not by any means. When the movie first started, I was completely confused as to what was going on. Some of the conversations I just didn't get at all! Johnny Depp's a great actor but I feel they've exhausted this movie beyond their means. It's just old now and done.

I agree, it didn't need to be so long. They could have come to the same conclusion in about half the time.
Although the monkey had some great shots.
There were some parts that made me laugh!
But the other two were much better.

there replaced into purely a million showing final evening at 8 and that i went. there have been purely 5 tickets left and we offered 3 and the couple in the back of us offered the final 2. there have been alot of upset people reason they stood in line. The action picture replaced into large. there have been alot of action packed scenes. New charactors mixed with the previous ones. I dont for my area like while they make a 2d area or third area of a action picture yet those are large. each and every is only as interesting because of the fact the final.

It was too long, but I liked it better than the 2nd one.
But I found myself wondering how Elizabeth was able to keep her hair and makeup perfect while being on board of a pirate ship. Even the scenes in Singapore her skin was flawless.
Nowhere CLOSE to the first one.

OMG it was WAY too long. Saw it at the drive in last night - my husband fell asleep. I didn't think it was all that good personally. However, Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom are always good eye candy.

I just loved the story what with all these connections being made...and i loved how they were able to throw in funny moments...(gotta love Sparrow, it wouldn't be as great without him if you ask me)

I thought the movie was better than the second one and right behind the first one. the special affects were good, it was confusing at points, but i was never bored throughout the entire film.
