I feel that my life is meaningless. I cannot love anybody or nobody can love me because of my gender preference (you know what I mean) I feel so lonely and sad and envious to people who can experience love that can be returned to them. I do love someone too but never had a chance to say to him because we all know that it is forbidden and the society will never accept and he mught also be disguted about it *sigh* How can life be sad like this and unfair huh???

Most everyone has felt like this at one time or another. The truth is Life isn't always fair. but that doesn't mean we give up.
We all have obstacles to overcome. I could quote a hundred cliches but that would be pointless. The previous person was right it is not forbidden . Narrow minded people will judge you but you can not let them define who you are. You matter, you count. You are somebody. No one is better than you or more deserving. You can not hide from the world as scary as that thought may seem to you. Stand and be proud of who you are. If you are in a place where that is not possible, make changes as soon as you can. Make that first step to free yourself and in doing so you will find a world ready to embrace you. Not the you that hides now behind a mask. If you lose friends over this then they were not truly your friends in the first place. If your family can not accept you as you are then sadly that will be their loss. The world is a huge place and a life of happiness is there you just have to take a deep breath and realize you deserve that happiness. If this person you love can not return the feelings it is best to know so you can find the one who will. Life is a journey but it's the trip that makes it worthwhile ( OK i used a cliche after all ) No one is disposable and every life has meaning

At some point in my life I felt the same way as you, just for different reasons. The feeling that life is meaningless is very powerful and mind consuming. But its also wrong! life is not meaningless, it is up to you to find its meaning. Although I cant tell you exactly how I will give you some hints.

First look within yourself. Analyze your mind. Analyze why you have this feelings (not the sexually oriented ones). Learn that everything you feel and think is programmed by your own thoughts. Control your thoughts and you will control your life.

Secondly. Stop thinking about yourself. Learn compassion for every living being, and everyday concentrate on increasing your compassion and love for others. Once you have mastered the art of compassion, it will be like a veil being removed from your eyes. Life will have a new meaning, more powerfull and significant than anything else you have ever experienced.

LIfe is a journey and you are the captain!

Life isn't meaningless. It's what you make out of it. From my perspective, you need to have a "coming out" party and shed the dark cloud hanging over your head. I don't understand the alternative life style, but I do know you can't keep yourself couped up and you need to experience love, happiness and the other nice things in life with a significant other. Once you experience the true inner self, you'll be released from your self imposed exile. Good luck!

life is only what you make it
if its meaningless you made it that way
if you cannot experience what you feel try to find something that can fill your desire(or close to) try painting, there's so much you can put into paintings- feelings etc.
also why dont you try a matchmaking online service? there are others like you and even though I'm not one of them I can understand where you're coming from and therefore I do not judge you
i wish you good luck on finding the person of your dreams and finally to have your life have meaning and love

You are making things more difficult than they have to be. I think you are just using the fact that you are gay as an excuse to not try. Or maybe you have just allowed someone to make you feel guilty about who you are. Remember that no matter where you live, there are plenty of other people with interests that are similar to yours, including gender preference.

I think that you are identifying sexual expression with love, when they are distinct principles.

Sexuality is a human potentiality that can be used to express, love, hate, selfishness, egoism - so it can be used rightly or wrongly.

But I think that I can define a useless vs. a useful life.

A useless life is lived by one who messes up other people so that he or she can get ahead - a useful life is one lived by one who dedicates himself to serving a good greater than himself and in helping others to achieve their true good and their happiness.

If happiness is pursued directly, it *always* eludes one, which is why those whose life-goal is self-fulfillment are always frustrated.

Happiness is *always* the by-product of forgetting oneself in the right way, and working for a good greater and outside of oneself.

find the root of this sadness. go to somewhere where you will be loved, where there are more open-minded people like you (california). Life is nothing without happiness, and thats what you need. try to stop doing things you dont want to do, and just enjoy life. and to open your mind to new revelations, try a soft psychedelic just ONCE.

And remember, happiness, happiness, happiness

Pshh! Come out of the closet already. It is not forbidden, it is accepted. That guy may not return your feelings but someone else will.

Thinking that no one can love you is a self fulfilling prophesy.

Stop thinking it.
