Good Morning! And, yes, I have. I do everyday because I come in contact with thousands of people, face to face, with my job. I love to smile and talk to people. It's a small "impact", but it does feel rewarding. BTW, I am sooooo tired and my feet are killing me. (Just needed to vent.) I have to mop the kitchen floor and clean the bathroom, but I'll be back on later today. :)

Why the thumbs down? Somebody have something against clean kitchen floors and bathrooms?

Every day at the medical office where I work, I try in some way to bring a smile to the patients who come to my desk. I make an effort to be familiar with their names, joke around with them (if appropriate), help them with whatever heir questions or issues are. I do these things in the course of doing my job, without giving it a second thought.

As a result, if I run into them in a public place, they know my name, they hug me, they give me compliments, talk to my kids, treat me like family. If they've had a family tragedy, they unburden their hearts to me, cry on my shoulder. They've been known to come around my desk at work to give me a hug, and I've done the same.

My job may not be very significant or important in the big picture of employment opportunities, but it's important to "my" patients. I wouldn't be able to do things any other way. Each person deserves to be treated with respect and friendliness, no matter who they are, what they look like or where they're from, and that's what my daily work is all about.

Yes I have, many times & others have made the same on me.
Sometimes way down the road a friend will tell me what a difference I made in their life, when I did or shared so & so.
I thank God that he uses me to change a life for the better.
In my life time many people have made that positive impact on my own life. Had they not been there for me, I shutter to think of the path I could be on today. It is a natural for me to just find myself in a position of use. To God be the glory~~jill

Yes I have. But I was trying!!! I was a preschool teacher for many years. I believe, and have been shown, that I was a good influence on them.
I am presently a nanny......On Friday i found out that the family I nanny for is going to start paying my MEDICAL PREMIUMS for me !!!! $ 818 a month!!! I offered to change carriers,to make the payments less....They said, no....keep what you have...it is better coverage!! They knew that I was seriously contemplating switching carriers as well as selling my house and moving.
When I finally found my voice to thank them, they said:" We value you. You are a part of the family and we love you.........
We love the way you treat our children."
I am so blessed. after thanking them, I came home, dropped to my knees and thanked God.
Just TWENTY minutes before I was given the good news, I had been telling a neighbor that I KNEW things would work out for me....I KNEW in my soul, because I feel the presence of such love around me.......God,my husband, parents and brother and other loved ones who have passed on. I told her, now don't you worry about me. I KNOW I will be shown an answer.
As the BEATLES said....The love you take is equal to the love you make........(Love making is not ALWAYS in a sexual content.)
