As long as your passport does not expire while you are away, you are fine.

I was told by my travel agent that only some countries can be a bit sticky when you try to return home, if you passport is almost near the expiration date. Perhaps your travel agent can check out the regulations for Crete. It is annoying, isn't it. And now when you get a renewal or I guess I should say..a new passport, they (Canada), want you to send in your present passport with the application....that really leaves you without any passport, so it would be difficult to take advantage of any last minute deal! Time they changed the rules...don't you agree!

You are supposed to have 6 months left on your passport, this is because you are allowed to stay in a EC country for six months. I dont know what to suggest, try ringing the airport for advice. I think some airlines will not fly you if you do not have six months left. Ring the airline too.

I think it is if u are applying for visas or one way tickets that you need at least 6 months on your passport? Not sure though your local travel agent should know.

Ideally, 6 months. You should ring the Passport helpline to check or go on their website but it should be 6 months, sorry! Good luck.

No, if you are EU citizens there is no problem. As long as your passport is valid while you are travelling, it is OK. If you are not UK citizens there may be a problem.
