No team is going undefeated, I am not sure that I think that they are going to the Super Bowl at all.

Yes the Patriots have made a lot of moves in order to reach the Superbowl, and barring any injuires they have a very good at winning it, but 16-0 is too much to ask for and wont be done.

Ever since the 1972 Season when the Dolphins went undefeated, there has only been one team close enough to be 16-0, the 1985 Bears. Why? Because they had just created a defensive scheme (the 46) where no one had no idea to beat, only the Dolphins miraculously defeated them 38-24, and after that they never lost or even looked like a beatable team, crushing all competition afterwards.

The point of that History lesson? theres always going to be some fluke, miracle, badly timed injury, etc.. that costs the team a victory, breaking their chances of going 16-0. Yes their offense looks like the best on PAPER, we have yet to see if they can actually perform to that level. There's always that "what if" chance.

Prediction: 14-2

Over the past 30 years, there has been many better teams than the current Patriots team (though they are good), and they haven't gone 16 - 0. The last team to do it was the Miami Dolphins of 1972, and teams only played 14 games a year at that time.

It's just way too hard in today's NFL to go undefeated. Too much parity. Even the worst teams in the NFL are actually somewhat good.

So, my answer to your question would be no. My bet is they will lose between 4 to 6 games.

Noone is going 16-0 ever in the NFL. The 72' Dolphins didnt even go 16-0, they went 14-0 in regular season. If they had to win 16 like teams do now, i dont think THEY would have gone 16-0 either. 16 games is ALOT of games!! If the schedule was still 14 games in regular season, then i think a few teams would have gone 14-0 already, the Colts of a couple Years ago, the Broncos i think it was 7 years ago, The Bears just 2 years ago, The Giants in i think 86'.. all of those teams, and a couple others prolly wouldve gone 14-0. But, like i said, 16 is a big jump in the NFL from 14 games....i dont think it will ever happen.

Well, I am a Pats fan...but the best offense ever created was probably the 49ers of the 80s with Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, John Taylor, Dwight Clark, Roger Craig, Brent Jones...etc...(not to mention it produced 4 Super Bowls)...But I will say that what the Pats have now may very well be the second best offense ever created...In the era of free agency, it is hard to go undefeated...But, as others have said, the Pats can be 14-2...and yes, they will be Super Bowl Champs...#4 is on the way...

No I don't think they will they don't really have the whole team to do that, they just finally got there receiver corps. back together and now have a stable running back who isn't 35, lol and now they must work on the TE position and the Db, but I think they'll be good but not 16-0, there has only been one team in history do that and that was the 1972 Miami Dolphins Which had guys like Bob Griese And Coach Don Shula, they didn't have one lose that year , and the only team that game close to even beating them was the Vikings...lol...

the 1st one million/2 of the three hundred and sixty 5 days they have been purely unstoppable. no person might desire to touch 'em. Then interior the 2nd one million/2 communities began slowly figuring them out extra. all and sundry gave the Pats their maximum suitable efforts. some close video games against the Colts, Eagles & Ravens and the Giants performed them close interior the perfect activity. interior the playoffs, the two video games went all the way down to the cord as properly. i think of the Giants found out from all the different communities that gave the Pats a first rate journey. and that they got here into the SuperBowl with self assurance understanding they performed 'em close as quickly as already. Even then it took an stunning 2 minute drill from the Giants to scouse borrow the win.

Like the Pats, but losing builds character(12-4 SEASON 2008 SB CHAMPS). Lookin for the Brownies to step it up a notch(Realistic7-9, 8-8 or 9-7). Agree with aabigaa2.

It's always possible, but I think that it's improbable enough for mean to say no. The Pats have certainly improved their chances at becoming champions on paper next season with their off-season moves, but with the competition in the NFL, the AFC especially, it's too hard to accomplish that. With the 16 game schedule, plus 4 to 3 playoff games against the most elite and physical teams left, it's too much of a grind to do that. Also you have to take injuries into account.

Adalius Thomas is such a beast. Moss will re-invent himself, Brady is going to be Brady, Moroney is a monster, The Hoodie is going to scheme.

The Pats are 3-1 favorites to win the Super Bowl right now. I think its a given they will win the division and advance deep into the playoffs.

16-0? I don't think so but 14-2 all day
