it's a goldfish and it's in a pretty big bowl with nothing in it- no fish or decorations.

We will need just a little more info to help you out. What kind of fish do you have, how big is the tank and what other fish are in the tank are all good starting info.

some fish change colors as they get older as long as there is no red or tearing its ok look at it through a magnifying glass if teh fish is small.
feed tiny amount of food everyday. change 15% bowl water daily. goldfish do change color at least the inexpensive ones.

go ask a fish specialist. i was told if that occurs, the fish are sick.
