Definition of "Lost It"
Verb: lose it
1. Lose control of one's emotions
"When she heard that she had not passed the exam, she lost it completely"
- break down, snap
-To be unable to keep control or allegiance of: lost his temper at the meeting; is losing supporters by changing his mind
Now, i haven't been watching much of The View this year since i have been busy taking care of my little one, but why is it that people are saying that Rosie has lost it, when the definiton of "Lost It" describes Elizabeth?
Did anyone happen to notice how Elizabeth "Lost It" in that episode of the now-famous "feud" she had with Rosie? Little miss priss waving her finger at Rosie, which in my opinion was rude and disrespectful.
Please tell me why you think Rosie lost it, or never had it?

N2JESUS - explosion was uncalled for? Maybe you should tell that to Elizabeth, since she really was the one that started getting all hissy about it when Joy was speaking. Rosie asked her a simple question that a first grader could have answered, and "poor little" elizabeth couldn't answer it with a yes or no. If she had, i doubt that the feud would have gone any farther.
Elvis - take offense, i don't care, that is my opinion on her, she is miss prissy to me cause she sat there, waving her finger like she did, as if she was a queen or something. IMO, she is the snob.

Fox - no i don't agree that US troops are terrorists. I support the troops. And yes, i happen to like Rosie, and i am not ashamed of that. Because i like Rosie does not mean i agree with everything she says. If you have the right of Freedom of Speech, well she does too. And because you don't agree with what she says, doesn't mean she should be banned. If that is the case, then you should be banned from posting on Yahoo Answers, cause i don't agree with you. yeesh

Leslie - Joy was speaking, stop making excuses to defend Elisabeth. And that is fine that she was expressing her opinions, but she could have waited till after Joy was done speaking. Didn't your mother ever tell you that interrupting is rude? Hey, i just asked a question, and my opinion was about what i seen.
Mercedes - thought you'd add your worthless 2 cents. Well, as i am much smaller then Rosie, you are the one that is probably overweight since you do have weight issues. But hey, i'm not going to hold that against you. There being overweight is nothing to be ashamed of. Thank you on your childish comment about my question, but thats ok, cause i understand that you have problems understanding real questions.
I just want to say Thank you to those who had something worthwhile to contribute, that is to those who were for or against Rosie. And thank you for being mature about it.

Rosie had a chance to be a sane voice... to represent her point of view as a lesbian woman. To show the world that as a gay woman she could be thoughtful and insightful.
Instead she came across as a mean-spirited, radical left leaning, very mean person. Her "debates" with Elizabeth... her feud with Donald Trump... on and on and on. She actually made Trump seem like a sympathic person. Her attack on him after he had tried to get help for Miss USA.... just didn't make sense. Aren't most liberals all for rehab?
Her polictical views aside...... what she failed to account for was that being abrasive won't push a personal agenda. So in that respect... in my opinion... she "lost it"

Elizabeth absolutely didn't 'lose it' as you put it. Elizabeth gave Rosie back what Rosie's been dishing out to her since she started on the View. The bottom line is this..
Rosie can put her opinions out wherever she wants, every single person is entitled to that..BUT when you won't listen to another person's opinion because you think you're the only one who is right....THAT makes you a bully...and that's Rosie, nothing but a big bully. I don't care if she's right or wrong, (although I personally think she's a whack job for some of her ideas about 9/11 and the whole 'terrorists are people too), but what I don't like is she shoves herself in everyone's face and nails you if you don't become her 'yes Rosie you're right' man...
I'm glad she's gone from the View, I really am. her time was long over and both she and the show need to move on

Disagree, on account that the only intent of the feud used to be to set up the Miz, bringing him as much as a extra distinguished heel function, even as making Cena nonetheless appear well. Proof? Miz will probably be within the higher card from now

i love Rosie shes for real. I think Rosie was hurt by the fact that someone she thought was a friend did not turn out that way. Obviously Elisabeth has no loyalty to anyone except her republican cronies. I see Rosie as a friend who would have gone to the edge for Elizabeth if people were saying well Elizabeth condones murdering our troops because she supports the President in wanting to send more troops.Rosie would have saidthat she KNOWS Elizabeth does not want to see more troops die in reality but that she stupidly follows the stupid president and Hasselbeck could have stood up in that respect for Rosie. That Hasselbeck is very lacking in character is quite obvious. Plus I think Haselbeck has been very jealous of all the attention and admiration Rosie gets from the public . Rosie has steadfast fans and supporters. I feel sad for Rosie ..think its very hard to be a friend today because people do not have the same loyalty and interpretation of friendship as Rosie (or I) does. But his will NOT hurt Rosie with her fans believe me Rosie is for real and the people who hate her usually have never gone further than just listening to others' opinions and not giving much thought to what Rosie is REALLY saying. Plus Trump is NOT a moral thermometer, Rosie was right. BUT I think Rosie never should have resorted to picking on physical attributes, she needs to watch that. esp being herslf gay and overweight and probably having experienced discrimination and prejudice because of both, she should be an example as she knows how hurtful that is.. she should know that that is sinking too low and is not right. being seeing ya Rosie we love you!

I think Rosie just says what is on her mind and some people don't like that. I think Elisabeth may had a lost it also,so we should just not put it all on Rosie.

I don't know if she had it to lose. Rosie has apparently let her fame go to her head and now thinks she knows more than the rest of us including her co-hosts. I used to like watching her show, but in the past few years she has become an arrogant snob who thinks everyone should just agree with whatever drivel she spouts. I think when people say she has "lost it" they are talking about her ability to relate to the majority of the public.

She hasn't lost it. She is just a liberal who has become more emboldened in the last year or so. The whole "queen of nice" thing was an act that she has chosen to drop recently. Now, she just says whatever she wants no matter how ridiculous or offensive it is.
Disclaimer: I support her 1st amendment right to speak her mind. But that doesn't mean that she is right. And it doesn't mean that I have to like her, or have any respect for her.

Actually, Joy wasn't "speaking". She was "ranting" in that graty voice of hers.
You almost sound worse than Rosie with your opinions. Apparently you're having trouble finding who to match with your dictionary's description of "lost it". FYI: Joy started it, Elisabeth stood up for what she believes and Rosie took it way overboard. And now she quit like the coward she is. Elisabeth finally proved she has a backbone and will not take the rudeness and bashing they give her. As for "Lost It"? Rosie has no control over her big mouth. And she just doesn't "get it".
You're entitled to your stupid opinion. And it's what you "saw" not what you "seen". Read your grammar book.

Rosie is way far beyond "losing it". Yes she is big, she is loud, outspoken and God Bless her for that, although she has had to take many blows below the belt to help a lot of us see the light. She is big enough to see and know there is more to this awful war than just who is right & who is wrong. She speaks loud to help us regular Americans to understand and hear what "all" is really at stake, with our troops, the govt, and the war in and Iraq.
Rosie was not born yesterday like some people would like to believe, but for the sake of aurgument let's say she was, with that being said let us take into consideration that chances are she probably stayed up all night, but republicans do not think we need to know that fact. There for she has not missed anything from snoozing on the job. This is her way of telling folks there is more than meets the eye.
She is a veteran in the media arena, she knows how the land is laid in that area and has recieved many a war wound from that arena over the years. It doesn't matter if you like her or dislike her but you can't say she doesn't put her money where her mouth is.
No she did not lose it but she is fed up with the gullibilty, arrogance and pure denial that there is nothing wrong with the big picture or the Bush Admin. People don't like Rosie on TV asking why is this picture flawed and what is going to be done to fix it. With poor, young christian Elizabeth being one of these fairyland creatures spouting off about things she knows little about other than Bush saying it is all for the good of our country in the long run spin. I can't blame her for going off!
Rosie didn't call our troops terrorist. She just tried to put herself on the other side of this war and teach us how the other half "Iraqis" see it, let alone the Bush admin. The bad part is Rosie is right on this account, and it is a bitter pill to swallow when you really sit down and think about it, when weighing everything out honestly.
History has showed us many times in the past that war over ones religion or beliefs has never brought any good to anyone involved and it's going to get much worse as time goes on and that is the reality of this war like it or not.
I have loved ones in Iraq. I support my country ( though I am ashamed of our govt. at this time) and I most definatly support our troops. I know how angry it makes me to hear and see so many Americans talk trash about this war as to who is right and wrong when you can tell most have little or nothing at stake in it much less contribute to it other than... we must hush up fat, lesbian loud mouth Rosie and those like her. How dare her say we are not aware and not patriotic. Sometimes I'd like to see these gullible, arrogant people have to go to Iraq and then come back and honestly tell me how it's nothing but a thing, no big deal.
I predict there will be a draft enforced before this war is over if we don't get out first, because it is that bad, believe it or not.
The United States govt. over stepped it's bounds this time where this war is concerned like it or not. Americans, Iraqis, Shites, and Sunnis and whoever else ends up getting involved will eventually have to pay the fiddler to dance.
Never lose thought that our troops are over there trying to protect yours and my rights to believe and think anyway we want too without being burnt at the stakes for it.
