Absolutely. You can be against the war and still be pro-America. I love my country and I support the troops who are willing to put their lives on the line to protect it. I do not approve of the current war--and as a patriotic American, it's my civic duty to question the powers that be.

Memorial Day is for remembering the dead...all of them. July 4th is a celebration of our Independence as a nation from Britian. Both bring the family and community together and that's a good thing. It's not about a war, but our freedom and yes to those who made the ultimate sacrifice that gave it to us. "Lest we never forget.' You may well be anti war but you are here and you are free and you have that choice to say that..
Fly your flag proudly, visit the graves, have a family picnic, make a lot of noise, decorate with red, white and blue...laugh and have fun... and be grateful, very grateful..

if it was for the soldiers that gave there sacrifices for this country then there wouldn't be a 4th of July or a Memorial Day. If they are so anti-war then they should offer to not get paid from their place of employment because they don't believe Things that have happen to mold this country. Or they should move to another country like Switzerland were they don't fight in wars.

Are you "anti-war" in regards to WWII? Meaning you think the US was wrong to defeat the Nazis, liberate Europe, and end the Holocaust?

Whether or not you support current military action is irrelevant. You should still be glad that Somebody chose to make the ultimate sacrifice to serve and defend this country. You should honor those who died protecting your right to be whiny and self-centered in a free society.

First of all, we do NOT celebrate war on Memorial day! We HONOR the memory of all the brave soldiers who gave their lives to protect us. Ditto the Fourth.

They should leave the country, and be kicked in the seat of the bands as they're getting on the ship or plane. They're not nice people, as they believe themselves to be.
