There is NOTHING that works as a snake repellent.
Mothballs? You need a TON of them, and they melt in rain or humidity, and they wear out quickly anyway.
Dog hair, horsehair rope, chalk lines, etc.? Old wives tales.
Some sort of spray? Nothing on the market works for snakes.
What to do? Get rid of what attracts the snakes. The common things they are looking for are food and shelter. Eliminate rodents in your area, get rid of trash piles, fill in gaps in rock walls, etc.
Heck, snakes rarely bother people, so personally I would not even bother!

Hello...Dog Hair ..LMAO, there is nothing that will repell a hungry snake...they go where there's food & shelter & don't bother you unless you bother them..snakes don't like people more then people don't like or fear them..humans...rodents, etc will do more harm then any snake !! Take Care :)

Dog hair works. You can place it around your yard and the snakes don't want to cross over it.
