Well here's the deal. I am 29 weeks pregnant (7 mos) and ever since i got pregnant i snore. Not just a little but so loud i wake myself up. My husband sometimes goes to sleep on the couch and my son wakes me up by fake snoring at me. I have gained up to 200 lbs already and i'm only 5'2 and i heard it may be because of being fat lol! oh and plus right now i have a stuffy nose and sore throat which doesnt help.

Has anyone else starting snoring when they got pregnant? Did it go away after the baby was born? How do i make it stop now instead of waiting till the baby's born?

I bought sticky things to put on my nose and i dont think they changed anything but making me wake up with a pimple or something

Help!

I am 5'3 and weighed 225 lbs by the time I delivered my daughter. So don't worry about your weight right now. I nursed and I lost 40 lbs in a month! Anyway, Yes, I had the same problem when I was pregnant. I snored away and my husband had a lot of problems and would wake me up all the time too, which caused us to get into a big fight, cause once I woke up when I was pregnant, I couldn't go back to sleep.

Oh,,,and I'm just wondering if you are retaining a lot of fluid. I did and that made things a lot worse for me. I got carpel tunnel whle I was pregnant also. So, you may see yourself gaining a lot towards the end if you are retaining a lot of fluid.

It's not the weight that is making you snore, your body holds extra fluid when you are pregnant, and somehow that makes some pregnant women snore. Yes, it will go away once the baby is born. There is no way to stop it. If you are already trying the breathe right strips then I honestly don't think there is a way to stop it. You could try elevating your head a little to see if that helps tho.

You're snoring because you're so heavy. 200 pounds at 5 ft. 2, and only 7 months pregnant. To put that into perspective, the baby weighs about 3-4 pounds right now, and the fluids, etc, another couple of pounds. The rest of it is you.
I have 2 kids and I learned the hard way with the first one. You really do not have to eat for two! I ended up gaining 95 pounds with my first child and I ended up with complications and high blood pressure when it came time to deliver him.
Once the baby's born, the snoring will probably ease up if your weight drops.
And those sticky things don't help with snoring at all...All they do is make you look silly.

Something that some women get when they get pregnant is called Rhinitis, it's like having a cold but not that bad. It can be the sniffles or it can be congestion in general and that is likely the reason for your snoring. It's not advisable that you take cold medications while you're pregnant but you could talk to your doctor about which ones might be safe and relieve symptoms... although since this is not actually a cold you might just have to stick it out... the good news is that it will probably resolve after you're pregnant... especially since once you have a baby you will never sleep again!!

Snoring does not automatically mean sleep apnea. He should go to a doctor, a sleep specialist, and arrange to have a sleep study done. He will have to sleep overnight at a lab where they hook you up with some electrodes and such, and then the results are sent to the doctor. From there, the doctor can offer appropriate solutions. If it is sleep apnea, solutions include CPAP or even surgery.

I'm not sure why you have gained 200lbs, but that can't be healthy. If my husband snores I make him sleep on his side and that make it seem to stop.

you will keep snoring no matter what. the sticky strips and any other remedies only work if you are NOT pregnant. it is because of your membranes in your nose swelling with excess fluid, i think. anyway, you will just be a snorer until you have your baby. good luck!
