the most important thing is sunscreen so u don't get skin cancer 20 yrs down the road. Believe me i know because i'm going thru it now.
also bring a cooler of soda and a big old umbrella for some shade, a beach ball and/or frisbee.
it all really depends on what ur beach allows u to bring.

Also a big blanket. And most important take a trash bag from the house. They usually do not have trash cans at the beach any more, they want you take it with you.

I live near the beach, so here goes: Swimsuits, towels, sunscreen, juice if any kids, bottled water, big towel to lay on, sunvisor, cooler to keep the water and food in (food is very expensive at some beaches), change for the meters, a bag to put all wet items in so you wont have them lying all over your vehicle and extra snacks. Have fun!!
