Why did the blueprints and plans for the Lunar Module and Moon Buggy get destroyed if this was one of History's greatest accomplishments?

These are some of the "big deals" that conspiracy theorists latched onto as proof that the whole of the moon landings was staged. I took a few minutes to look around and all I found was that Grumman Aircraft Corp destroyed the material which would be in keeping with government contractor regulations involving sensitive material. See sites below.

Then you're an idiot, plain and simple. No Earth bound telescope can see the hardware left behind. That's inviolable physics, whether you like it or not. When they say Hubble can see a candle burning they don't mean it can take a nice clear picture of a candle on the Moon, but that it can detect the light from the flame and distinguish it from the surrounding surface as a slightly brighter pixel in the image. That's all. I suggest you educate yourself in the relevant subjects and try to understand what is actually meant by some of these claims before you pass judgement on a subject you clearly know nothing about.

This is a question asked mainly by people who don't actually understand what a 'blueprint' is.

Plans of the lunar module are readily available. Basic construction blueprints, however, consist of hundreds or thousands of pages of everything right down to the smallest level. Storing those on paper would be a huge waste of space. Believe it or not it is not standard practice to keep detailed construction plans for something no longer in production. However, the majority were transferred to microfilm and are stored in an archive somewhere.

I'm sure they're still around, but the designs are woefully outdated and nobody in their right mind would go to the moon in a 60's era lunar lander. I'm surprised we didn't lose any astronauts other than the 3 who burned up in the apollo capsule during a test.

They didn't--they're in the NASA archives. Since that's a place for REAL science, however, the conspiracy nuts wouldn't know about it.

They didn't, but obviously you have one that needs repair?
