First, for all of those asking, plenty of women have abortions for medical reasons, like to remove an already dead fetus from your body after a missed miscarriage, so stop being so nosy and judgemental! Geesh.

You can start trying again now if you want. You do not need to do any blood tests. If your hormones are still out of whack, your body won't let you get pregnant until they stabilize.

Good luck and I hope you have better luck with this baby.

Not to sound at all rude, but if you just had an abortion, why are you planning on having a baby?

I know after a miscarriage, doctors typically ask you to wait one full cycle before trying again. Perhaps it's the same after an abortion.

Let's get this straight. You had an abortion four months ago, and you're now planning another kid already?

I believe in a woman's right to choose...but not the right to use abortion as a form of birth control. What makes the time so right now as opposed to four months ago? Unless it was done for medical reasons, such as to protect your life, and then that's a different story.

Plan for your next baby for a time when you are mentally, financially and emotionally ready to care for it. I find it hard to believe that the situation you were in just four months ago has changed all that much to make you ready to have a child -- physically you're probably able to, but realistically...give it a year, at least.

That's very confusing, if you want a baby now then why did you have an abortion? You should add detail on why, was it a life threatening decision? Anyway you have to wait a month before trying to conceive.

Why do you want to plan for another baby if you just had an abortion? Why not just keep the first one?..

Anyway, to answer your question- you're fine to go ahead and try again. You're suppose to wait a month before you try.

If you want to plan for a baby why did you abort the last one, so many people want children and can't have them and little girls like you are running off having abortions like it is normal.

What's changed in your life that 4mths ago was not the right time for you to be with child yet you can plan for another now? Abortion is not a form of contraceptive when you stuff up!

No one who has answered this question by saying things such as 'why do you want a baby when you had an abortion'
you don't know this woman or her situation, the baby may have been ill, or she may have been caught pregnant through no fault of her own, I do not want to explain this I'm sure you are intelligent enough to work out what I mean by this!

As for your question hunni I'm sure after 4months the should be no problem trying for a baby, I would speak to your doctor though just incase!!
