How do I raise MONEY?

Ok, my cousins (in high school) are saving up for a laptop. They asked me how they can raise alot of money. They need about $600. Any good suggestions? (They don't want jobs)

Don't critizice them or I will definatley not choose you for best answer...

They want to raise money, not take a job. By the fact that they don't want to work, I meant that they don't want a job.

If they can talk their parents into having a yard sale they can help their folks to go through the house and put together items they no longer need and is taking up space (even clothes no one wears anymore). This helps the family clean out stuff they don't need and they can make some money on it. If they put up signs in their neighborhood the day before they can advertise the garage sale. They should get some labels to use as price stickers and set up tables outside their house to put the items on. You'd be surprised what people will buy - "One man's trash is another man's treasure!"

Unless they have something they can sell, the sentence above can be written as "We want some one to GIVE us money." That plan doesn't work well.

They are S.O.L. then! They are high schoolers- what are they going to do..sell lemonade? They need to be like everyone else and work for the things they desire! They aren't going to raise money, they need to work for it. Unless they told everyone that they were terminally ill or something. Which I wouldn't recommend. Mowing lawns would be a great summer idea!

Well if you don't work you won't get any money. WHy not tell them to see if they can get money by standing in a corner with a saign saying that they need money. MAybe they will get lucky and get enough. But everybody else who needs money mostly works for it.
