(3x+2)^2 / 6x * x^4 / 6x+4

for those of you so concerned. this is not my homework; i have an exam in 7 days and i am revising. i cannot ask my teacher as it is half term, so can someone please help, rather than patronsing me.

(3x+2)^2 / 6x * x^4 / 6x+4 =
= [(3x+2)(3x+2)/6x] * x^4/2(3x+2)=
then you cancel (3x+2) in the numerator and the denominator and you get
= (3x+2)/6x * x^4/2 =
= (3x+2)x^4 / 12x =
then you cancel an X in the numerator and the denominator and you get
= (3x+2)x^3/12 This is your answer in factor form

(3x+2)^2
(3x+2)(3x+2)
9x^2+6x+6x+4
9x^2+12x+4

You can't simplify 6x+4 and I'm not sure what you mean by 6x*x^4 but I am quite sure that you can't simplify that either. I am doing my GCSE'S this year and I am sure you can't simplify the other two although I may be proven wrong. Sorry

(9x^2+12x+4)/6x * x^4/(6x+4)
Destroy the x of 6x and x^4 into x^3
(9x^2+12x+4)/6 * x^2/(6x+4)
(3/2)x^2+2x+2/3 *x^2/[6(x+2/3)]
Divide the left expression by [6(x+2/3)]
Whatever you do it turns out to be
[(3/2)x+1]/6 * x^2
Multiply both sides by x^2
[(3/2)x^3+x^2]/6
Well I guess you can factor this out to be
[x^2(3/2x+1)]/6

(3x+2)^2 / 6x * x^4 / 6x+4
= [(3x+2)^2.(x^4)] / [(6x)(6x+4)]
= [(3x+2)^2.(x^4)] / [(6x).2(3x+2)]
= [(3x+2)(x^3)] / 12
= (1/4)x^4 + (1/6)x^3

Look at this :

1 / (2/3) = 3/2

(1/2) / 3 = 1/6

i think you need to tell how you want to divide tell it with ellipses.
