LIBERAL DEMOCRATS: Why Do So Few Serve Their Country Yet They Chinwag About the Military All Day Long?

According to the polls of the Liberal "Military Times", Conservatives outnumber Liberals in the military by better than a 5:1 margin. Republicans outnumber Democrats in the military by a 3:1 margin.

If Democrats rarely serve their country during times of volunteer service, why do they run their mouths about what the military SHOULD BE doing and HOW they should do it? Liberal Democrats have as much experience in the military as a bum on the street has experience being a heart surgeon--so, why would Liberal Democrats place people in danger of death with their uninformed opinions?

Yesterday little girl you posted a question saying the Dem make up 7% of the military now you say that Rep outnumber then 3 to 1. So Rep make up 21% of the military? Dems 7% and the other 73% are what communist? You have a serious fact checking problem along with all your other problems.

Further a Democrat lead us though WWI and WWII and Korea. The last war a Republican won was the Civil War. And for all the crying that Rep do about the Dems loosing Nam it was Nixon who withdrew the troops.

Also how long have you been in the service?

You're talking out of the wrong end of your body. When I was in the military, I saw nothing but working class white people and minorities...hardly the GOP base. I don't think much has changed since then. I can't imagine the recruiters running around the affluent high schools signing anyone up. There have been all sorts of people who have died for this country of all colors, races and yes political ideology. What I haven't seen much of are RICH people making the ultimate sacrifice for the RED, WHITE AND BLUE. Why should they...because its that good to be Rich in the USA. So, save the discernment with about thinking you have a monopoly on Patriotism...because its only superficial rhetoric that people who have served knows its not true.

Would you prefer a military junta leading the US?
If I apply that same logic no male politician should ever have a stand on abortion,heterosexuals shouldn't vote one way or another on Gay issue's and only farmers could have an opinion on agricultural issue's.

Why not extend our troops tours of duty again to show them how much conservatives care. Republicans do worse than chinwag, they put peoples lives at risk while they stand on the sidelines cheering and shouting patriotic slogans, while passing the Patriot Act and covering up stories like Pat Tillman and where the hell is Osama Bin Laden. You people rant on here like you are doing our country some kind of favor by saying you support the troops and stories like Walter Reed and missing funding swirl around. This fiasco in Iraq is a complete failure and yet we still have people like you supporting this failed policy and incompetent President. I don't get it.

Call me crazy Kim, but I just don't think there's any real incentive for me to join the military. My country isn't threatened, I can afford an education, and quite frankly I just don't see how me being in the army is actually protecting my way of life... since there really is no threat to that way of life.

I just never knew that being a war monger was such a desirable trait.

Maybe your right though, America's ego isn't big enough yet. We have to try to be more of a world policeman, and show responsibility for beating up countries that can't defend themselves.. or even feed themselves... and somehow try to convince everyone they actually threaten our way of life.

Libs are the military's worst enemy.
In 1971 they decided that only minorities could be promoted in the military,thousands of hard working and deserving people were denied promotion.
People with less experience,time in grade or talent were promoted purely because of skin color. Most would have been promoted anyway in time as they gained experience and knowledge.
Morale crashed,senior enlisted people started standing in line to get out rather than reenlist.
New aircraft,ships ect are dropped or delayed unless all or part of it is built in some powerfull Senator's or representative's district.
Then you have people like Bill Clinton who slash budgets and manpower,cancel contracts for armoured Hummers and new body armour and claim a budget surplus on that basis.
The day is long gone when you can grab draftees off the street,train them for 6 months and send them to war.
It takes time to train people to fight in today's warfare and give them a high expectation of survival.

I have served and I'm a con. That was back in the Reagan years. I do remember that just about every person I came across was VERY pro Reagan.
