It always says that when I hook up my I Pod. I can't add or delete songs from it. Other then that it works just fine. I've been looking for an answer for awhile now and I don't know what I can do about it? HELP!

It always says that when I hook up my I Pod. I can't add or delete songs from it. Other then that it works just fine. I've been looking for an answer for awhile now and I don't know what I can do about it? HELP!

Also if I reset it, won't I lose everything? Or will it all be saved on my computer. The songs I have on my I Pod but not I Tunes?

Too bad you don't have it on your iTunes. I would suggest resetting it but it will lose everything on your iPod. If you don't want to fix it or buy another one, try restoring it and start over. If that doesn't work, then it's time to get another one. :(

Did you try the 5 Rs?
Reset, Retry, Restart, Reinstall, Restore
(try each one in turn and see if it solves the problem,
then move on to the next one if you still have the problem)

To Reset:
1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
2. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
