There's no offense for impeachment. That's why the Congress is spending so much time fabricating "scandal" like the witch hunt surround Roberto Gonzales. They are not going to get the president so they make up nensense to get his cabinet leaders to quit. The burden of proof is much easier in getting rid of a cabinet member; it's all ;public opinion. And teh Dems can sway public opinion and bring enough pressure, they hope he'll resign (remember Donald Rumsfeld?) It doesn't even need to be true, but that never stopped a Democrat before....
My advice to you, move on to something else. Talking about impeachment makes you look whacko.

they have to commit an offense to a law or the Constitution, and then if the pres. gets impeached, he still has to go through the Congress's votes. If they vote on it, and the offense is bad enough, he will get officially fired. if they dont have the majority on 'he gets fired', then he would be technically impeached, but not fired.
But...

He could resign...

Forever, they haven't done anything to be impeached. Of course all of us with an education already know this. It was covered in high school in "CIVICS" and then in college in GOV 101. I know it makes the anti-Americans mad, but "I hate Bush" is not an impeachable offense.

In order to impeach one must actually have evidence of impeachable offenses... merely disliking or disagreeing with them isn't enough. You really should read the Constitution.

How Long ? Well , that depends on how long your dream lasts because they haven't broken one single law . Impeachment is for violations of the Law. .. not personal dissatisfaction .

EDIT* - After reading the ABUNDANCE of correct answers telling you that they haven't broken a law , I truly wonder if you'll give best answer to a correct answer or will you be biased and give it to just someone who agrees with your notions or feelings .

No offense or legal precedence, even Palosi has said she would not proceed..tired re-hash Y/A question..... The Palosi Congress has spent so much time on political theater that they have produced nothing and have wasted away any gains made in the 06 election to a dismal 29% Approval rating....so it's not going happen...sorry, that's why we have an election in 08

It would take longer to find impeachable offenses. It's time to move on from the witch-hunts.

No. They will not impeach him becasue he has done nothing wrong. If they didnt impeach Clinton and Carter, they wont impeach him.
