Sure it is. I am from Scotland and i have been 3 times and i will go again in october.
If you want to gamble most of the hotels give tuition , but if you do not want to gamble , there is still plenty to do.

So go for it and have a great time.

There's other things to do besides gambling - shows, shopping, Lake Mead, skydiving, bungee jumping, hiking, cruising the strip, night clubs, eating out, seeing strip sights - fountains at Bellagio, etc.

If your only concern is gambling, each of the hotels generally has a table for beginners where they will show you how to play any of the table games. Stop by New York New York or MGM and they'll have a ton of tables for beginners who are in the same situation as you, so there's no pressure. If you're set on only playing slot machines, each slot has a payout guide on top that shows you how much each "fruit" pays out when matched up. Good choice? Stick with the Wheel of Fortune .25$ machines - easiest machine in the world and you'll also get a bonus round - crazy, huh? Play three credits and hope for a Spin The Wheel to come up, then play the bonus round and win up to 1000 credits. Or, just sit there and keep on pulling the lever and eventually, you should hear some ding-ding-dings that mean that you've won something....

There is so much to do, it's impossible to list it here. There are plenty of websites out there that will give you ideas. If you do the slot machines, you don't have to knwo the rules. The machine will pay when you hit something and you'll figureit out quickly enough. Bingo is ok but the pots aren't very good and there are 1 hour breaks between games to give you time to go lose your winnings in the casino. Indian bingo is way better but there isn't any in Las Vegas (or all of Nevada, I think).

Las Vegas is awesome. If you want to gamble but don't know how you can play the slots, all you have to know is to drop money in and if money comes out you win.

In Vegas you can get really really nice hotel rooms for almost nothing (a night at the Excalibur for under $30, most hotels let you in dirt cheap hoping you'll gamble there). In Vegas you can eat for almost nothing at giant buffets because they hope you'll gamble there. In many places if you are gambling you can drink for free.

In Vegas there's huge entertainment options from Circus Circus to many new family fun filled venues; and then there's the "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" from the girls of glittergulch to sex clubs where you pay a door charge and anything goes once inside.

There is great 24 hour public transportation, trollys to take you from the strip to the downtown casinos, to a $1 breakfast to a $35 drive through wedding chapel. There's 24 hour drinking but a marijuana seed is a felony in Nevada and you need a national criminal background check to work at a Taco Bell or a gas station if they have as much as one slot machine. Many fugitives are apprehended in Las Vegas. The police are very aggressive. The roads suck really bad. There is no sales tax.

Vegas is a good time for anyone. You can even find travel discounts sponsored by hotels where it costs you almost nothing to get there, and almost nothing to stay there, hoping you'll gamble. Check with a travel agent or yahoo/google it.

Have fun & stay out of trouble. It can be sweltering hot there in many ways. You can find anything you want, pure, wholesome or down and dirty. Vegas has it. Go and have fun!!!

Yes it's still worth going. I went to Las Vegas a couple of months ago and didn't gamble a cent. There are plenty of other things happening in the city to keep you occupied, that you probably won't need to gamble.

In LV you have: quality shows, quirky sightseeing, shopping opportunities galore, rides to go on, kinetic nightlife, fascinating day trips, museums and art galleries.....

I live here and the resaon I live here is I do not or do not care to gamble.
Too many people lose their pay check, house and life savings.
There's so many things to do here. The gambling is great as it keeps my taxes down. But this is paradise.
You will love the visit.

No, I'm 15 and I can't gamble. I have been there a few times and it was really boring. Their is a night show at the Excalabur and there are some magic shows and etc. During the day, it's really boring.
