Buying a home that doesn't have a current termite bond. It's already had an inspection and passed but don't want to risk anything down the road. Trying to figure out our moving budget but aren't currently in the area to have an estimate done. Would appreciate any input.

When you say a bond is that a contract for service.
IN New Jersey cost $1000 to abate the termites and then there was an annual maintenance agreement that was several hundred dollars. In addition, when they did return, the terminates, the exterminator would come free of charge to abate as I had the maintenance agreement.
