I am writing to you in support of the Jessica’s Lunsford act. First let me start out with this: One in four girls and one in 10 boys will be a victim of sexual assault of some kind before they reach the age of 18. These outrages crimes can be prevented.
There is just no question Jessica’s law will save lives. Similar laws need to be instituted in every state. Bandages This should be Federal issue our never talk about this in there campaigns and my dear friends if the safety of our children is not a political issue or political hot topic for votes then its time WE MADE IT A POLITICAL ISSUE TO BE ADDRESSED BY THESE Candidates IF NOT NOW IN AN ELECTION YEAR... WHEN WILL IT!
This is the fight of our lives for our children and grandchildren and our neighbors children. Please help us save the most vulnerable citizens...... LET me know how I can make this a political issue... My SENTOR Mrs. Clinton has not responded to any of my emails - calls or letters. This is a life and death

I think we've been preoccupied with the war on Iraq and the war on terror. It seems that Bush doesn't have much of a domestic agenda. It's a good idea to write to your senator. Maybe you should try Chuck Schumer. He's your senator too.

Funny thing how Bill O'Reilly a staunch republican wants the government to pass legislation to watch out for kids, I thought that was the job of parents? Just like guns, no amount of laws will stop anyone with an intent to harm others. I am totally against this on a federal level. Get rid of the judges in your state if you don't like the sentences they are handing out instead of trying to pass a federal law. Maybe if we took more personal accountability for being parents and looking out for our own kids instead of letting them talk on the phone, play video games, play on the internet and basically do what they want as long as we don't have to be parents. Take the time to be a part of your kids life and don't ask the government to solve all your problems.

The Jessica Lunsford Act is up to the individual states. We the voters need to pressure our representatives into supporting it. I'm sorry to read that Mrs. Clinton apparently doesn't see this as an important enough issue to respond to.

I don't mean to be rude or inconsiderate but child safety falls directly onto parents. That's issue No 1. Unfortunately there are a lot of parents who are irresponsible and don't know how to manage their children. Making it a political topic brings attention to them and then, suddenly, they don't want to talk about it anymore. That's my guess.

Parents should be number one in a child's life. I think the government has already done enough to complicate things. I know some parents to scared to discipline there children because of the government. Please be careful what you ask for, politicians make laws with loop hole to appease constituents.

Children need to be home with their parents!
It doesn't take a village to raise a kid it takes a parent...
but most parents have no morals and are to busy ...
and expect nothing to happen ...
if you are going to lay down and spread your legs you better be ready to be responsible!

because EVERY village has its psycho , rapist and murderer!

oh and their liberal!

Children must be protected by the government because they are likely to be abused due to the young age and ignorance.
