im looking to buy an ipod at $300 and am worried that i will pay the person and never recieve my item......... are there ways of tracking people down and demanding money back?

Simply pay by Credit Card through Paypal and then of course you are running a dead cert

Only deal with sellers who have perfect 100% feedback, and not some guy with only 1 or 2 Positives or a small sales record.

most people on ebay are honest, check the sellers feedback rating to see if other buyers have made any complaints. You can pay by paypal and they will insure you get your item.

you have to decide before you buy or sell
anything
if you can afford to lose the money
or item !
unfortunately
theres a 50/50 chance
either way
of winning or losing out in my opinion

I can tell you a sure shot way to find out. There is no way this method can fail. But it will cost you $300 + taxes. Want to give it a shot ?

ebay has the address
fly to where they live $$$$$$$$$$
take a cab to thier house $$$$$$$
get in fight go to jail$$$$$$$$$
get out of jail rent room and car $$$$$$$
buy food$$$$$$$$
get ready for court next morning
not knowing this town you get lost and cant find court house
police arrest you again for missing court
go to jail$$$$$$$$$
get out of jail you want to forget about the $300
you fly home $$$$$$$$
take cab home$$$$$$$
police knock on your door becaused you missed court again
take you to jail
you don"t get out $$$$$$$ wont help

was it worth it
buy safe
buy at a local store
