Well there are chances that ur imagination might be true, bcoz the galaxies are held in their place by additional gravitation force - 'dark space'. This what scietists believe.

Galaxies were formed as a result of Big BAng which is the centre point otf universe..so there can obviously be a force thats holdin all the galaxies.

This force can be similar to the gravitational force from the sun which holds all the planets in our solar system.

To answers your question honestly I don see any weird thing happenin bcoz of this.

Hey just pretend that the Sun is a huge Star, and we are in a massive solar system rotating around it!!! Now that would be WEIRD!!!

A star would have to be millions of light years in size to have the gravitational pull to effect even one galaxy (a star would collapse and become a black hole long before reaching this size). It's a freaky idea, but way beyond the realm of reality.

In essence, it is kind of like that. When the big bang or event that spawned our universe happened, all that was came from the place where all began, like the center of our galaxy. What is there now and how would everything look if you could see it all as a photo or map?
