Is there a procedure for adjusting the brake switch? There are a million different positions it could be set at. The brake lights are working with the new switch I put in but the cruise control isn't. The cruise control worked fine until I changed the switch.

If its the one I'm thinking of, Push it all the way in through the Hole it egages in, then pull the brake pedal back to the normal position, it should force the switch back out just to the point where the brake lights stay out, and take almost no movement ot kick them on-I try to get about 1/4 inch of travel on the brake pedal until they turn on.
That being said, some are note adjustable, and can only be replaced.

If it's the basic switch that is threaded into a retainer nut, you adjust it by threading it in or out until the plunger depresses ALL the way when the pedal comes back to the rest position--may take a bit of fiddling around to get it to set right.

The switch has a small tab on the bottom side. Push the brake pedal down with your hand and slide the tad to the rear then release the pedal. It will then adjust itself when pedal is released.
