What do you say when you pick up the phone?

I say Hello.lol

I say Pizza Hut... that way if it's a bill collector they think they've got the wrong number and if it's someone I know, then they know it's me playing a joke.

I don't pick up the phone LOL

But the answering machines says...'hello, the person you have called is unavailable right now, etc.....'

If i do occasionally pick up the phone, its usually one of those Indian marketing calls - so i say nothing - i hang up!!

I usaully say Hello also. However, caller ID has opened up so many new opportunites for having fun answering the phone. If you know who it is you can have a little fun with friends or family...even telemarketers if you're sure you know who it is.

Hello or Hi. If it not a privet number (either on my mobile or home phones cause they both have caller id) and I know who's calling I will say hi and then the persons name. :-)

Depends on what sort of mood I'm in...sometimes I'll say something like....Dennie's Pizza, how can I help you, or 'Brixton Police Station', or 'the number you have dialled has not been recognised, please hang up and try again', or 'la la la are not home, please leave a message after the beep......' or 'Madame Martha's....how can we be of service....'

Sometimes ' Hello...', 'Sometimes..'Good Afternoon/morning/evening'...sometimes Gutten tag....or Siyabona....or Bonsoir......
