i absolutely love sly stallone but have to learn to come to terms that he wont be around forever,he looks good for his age and was brill in rocky balboa but looking at the new trailor for john rambo even i ,a loving fan have to admit he does look old, fair play he is 61,but whats even sadder is there is no one around to replace him, there isnt another arnie and another bruce willis so what are we to do......im very distraught at the fact that action hero films are on their way out without no one else to take over from these brilliant actors!!!!!

sly is a living legend and will be remembered long after hes gone because it ain't over till its over. His films have been the best for years as well as Arnie and Bruce's. Maybe Arnie's right they are the last action hero's. But I must say that die hard4, live free die harder looks good and so does Rambo4 bring it on guys.
But to be honest one day he will be gone but at least he will be with Adrien and Mickey. YO ADRIEN.

For starters, Steve McQueen wasn't old, he died of mesothelioma aged 50.
Have to agree with Jack, Bruce Willis is an actor, Sly and Arnie are movie stars.
Paul Newman (who has declared he is giving up acting), has fitted very neatly into character roles as he has got older. Any actor worth his salt will continue to appear in films, and likewise any who are capable of plodding through a script (in order to earn a crust), will do so, whilst the studio(s) wants them.
As one soldier dies, there will be another to take their place.
I am probably older than you, and have seen many of my favourites disappear from the screen, but there are others whose acting is comparable to them taking their place, and some who I admire for their skills.
The one saving grace is that at least you can continue to see the movies they made. It's not as if when they die the TV/Cinema stop showing their films.

we all get old--or die. and since they are humans, they do to.
what i wish tho is that some of these guys would do movies to top off there action careers before they get too old. i've always wanted to see Stallone and Schwarzenegger face off, same with Dennis Quaid and Kurt Russell. the older they get, they'll probably show up as fathers to teens/early 20s. YUCK!! i say do something to go out in a blaze of glory.
by the way, there will be others showing up. for instance, Jet Li and Jason Statham have a movie coming out that looks pretty good. that wrestler guy from The Marine has that clean cut action look that can work. there are a few people around--it will be up to the studios to grab hold of one of these guys and give him the right movies to do.

Well, that's the way of life - isn't it a shame that everyone, not just celebs, gets old and dies? I take your point about great actors, but I think there's a touch of nostalgia in what you're saying; I'm sure many said the same about the generation of actors before them and felt that there wouldn't be any more of the same standard. I disagree - I'm sure we'll see more up and coming actors who ar equally good in those roles!

In India getting married to elder women is strange thing to do, because here people believe in astrology, horoscope matching etc.. And another truth is that , if a man id elder he would take care of his wife till he die in his old age . Marrying elder women is nothing wrong to comment about it,it is their own wish as long as they have good understanding between each other .

Clint Eastwood made his name and fame playing macho in his
earlier films.
However, his best acting is easily in his most recent ones. Men
can actually improve with age in the movies.
Its harder for women simply because studios won't give them eny
screen time - they'd rather have 20 year old bimbos.
"Action hero" is true escapism. Arguably it implies that the answer
to violence is always more violence. The results are predictable.
Reality is more complex. Presumably as both the audience and
the actors mature, they mature together.

One out of three aint bad...
I agree with you about Bruce Willis, but Sly and Arnold?
You actually regard them as two of "...the best actors..." in the history of motion pictures? Okay, I'll take Arnold's movies over Sly's any day but neither one of them are in my top 20 list... On the flip side of the coin, I can see why you like them both...I'll respect your choices...

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've always anted Micheal Caine to play James Bond (He would've been brilliant!). But he's way too old to do it now though....... Shame.
