I've tried out mapquest before, but it just wasn't that accurate.
Anything else besides mapquest?

I use Mapquest and Google & Yahoo map services and it's really good to compare because, as you said, they aren't neccessarily accurate. * According to Google Maps, my street intersects with a major highway, not dead ends as it does.

Also, some of the directions they give are kind of roundabout and not really the shortest way between two points. Be sure to use your resources carefully.

Have fun!!

I like Google Maps because you can see the map, but you can also see the satellite image where available. That way, you can check on things like intersections with dead ends.

That said, no mapping site is perfect. Roads change all the time, and it's a big planet. Check a few of them and compare, or confirm your directions with people around your destination.

Just for fun, go to Google Maps and ask for directions from "New York" to "London." Read the directions carefully :-)

"Alan" is right. It is best to compare all three, although it is time consuming. You will also notice that for all three, the driving times become more inaccurate the further the distance.
