you've said it in your head plenty of times already. it's like rehearsing the lines in a play. the practice is over, now it's time to take your show to the stage. will they like it? will they BOO you? should you care?

well of course you care, because that's part of who you are. and you've been agonizing over tough decisions for long enough... what's best for THEM, what's best for YOU, is there anything that might be the best for ALL involved? after a lot of time spent analyzing, i think not. so, it's time to do the right thing.

courage... it's part fear not that you AREN'T doing the right thing, but that you'll be hurt, or someone ELSE will. can you overcome it? it's also part of KNOWING that the time has come and that now you're prepared (think of the play rehearsal...) can you take that first step? like so many difficult things in life, it's harder to get the job started than to actually finish it. once you've begin, i have every faith that you'll be able to do what needs to be done... for you. and you'll feel so good when it's over.

be brave for yourself. the others will be okay.

Well, generally I feel relieved. But it would depend entirely on what "enough" we are talking about. If it's something that's going to disappoint someone else, it may continue to be a problem. Every time one makes such a limit (for sex, as a random example), one takes the risk that the relationship will be damaged, perhaps beyond repair.
