Took my car in for an electrical problem, they said it was the ignition key switch, and replaced it, but yet the problem was still there, AND they have had my car for two weeks now trying to figure out what the gremlin (problem) is...

sorry but electrical problems ...no easy answer...my wife SOLD her last car because about 1 or 2 times a week it would cut out and 2 or 3 secounds later would start running again....nasty going down the mountain to work...good luck

What issue are you having? Hard to fix an electrical problem sometimes--you can't look at the part and see if it's bad inside. I would ask them for a discount or refund on the labor as it did not solve the problem and was mis-diagnosed but if they had not replaced the switch, they may have spent more time diagnosing the problem anyway which would have been more labor.You should not have to pay for them to make a mistake Depends on the tech, but some guys wil just replace items instead of testing because it's easier to do and will tell you right away if the problem is solved....not always fair to the customer. Check around the various shops in your area and try to find someone who is well aquainted with electrical diagnosing not just a general auto tech.

Wait for the Auto shop to fixit or else show it to another auto shop and claim from previous one.
