I try to read the question point by point. If there is a supporting link, I click that and glean what I can from the ink. When I start writing, I refer back to the question and try to answer each part of the question.
I think "best answer" is important, not really important that it be me, but it should be a good answer!
What irks me is when the answer selected is NOT really the "best." I find this is most true in religious questions. Scientific method means nothing in that area. Thge "best" answer there is usually one that the asker was fishing for in the first place.
And, it irks me when Yahoo's spell checker is screwed up. When you put a few minutes of your life into an answer, and want it to look readable, a broken spell check is uh.... not nice.
Yeah, there are always cheats and chiselers. I hope they can always get the best answer to those very lame questions. I wouldn't care unless they run over you in some way. If it is just taking a rather dubious honor, why waste your caring on something so trivial?
Thanks for asking.

I always attempt to answer the question to the best of my ability. That said I know that I may not be the best answer out there as someone may be more succinct, more knowledgeable and more wise than I.
These two individuals obviously have a relationship of some kind and are obviously symbiotically involved here on Yahoo! Answers. I.E. They're sooo gaming the system and its incredibly obvious. Sad too.

Look!
There's a way to cheat, so some people are going to cheat to get more points! That's the way it is. Just try to enjoy the questions and answers without worrying too much about the points. I like getting points and best answers too, but it's not the main reason I spend time on here.

i think of that maximum folk of consumers on listed right here are in basic terms young ones and that i don't comprehend approximately you yet I even have chanced on that maximum young ones tend to take the fast shrink on each and every occasion a threat and doing something very like examine (that's envisioned at school) isn't something they're going to do willingly. so which you do the a similar questions repeatedly. i individually don't comprehend people who do ask a query and then won't be able to be afflicted with giving the courtesy of an amazing answer, as people have afflicted to take time to respond to the question, they could desire to be well mannered and decide an answer. yet then I gave up attempting to discern people out years in the past as once you attempt to take action which you're in many situations incorrect. i come across gaining knowledge of to come across my own answer a hassle-free job yet perhaps others in basic terms don't comprehend the thank you to flow approximately it.

I believe people should answer a question because they really want to help the person or want to give their opinion to the rest of the world.
This is like doing a good deed, you shouldn't do it because you're hoping for a reward instead you should do it out of honesty and just trying to make the world a little bit a better place.

If I get a Best Answer to a question I answer that's wonderful but it's not the most important thing to me. I'm just glad to answer and try to help someone if I can and also have fun (which I do by coming to categories like this one).

If the question is interesting enough I'll comment, but don't necessarily expect a Best Answer. The system is flawed: some questions can't really have a best answer, at otherf times best answers are awarded between friends.

Most of the time but if the question is pointless I'll answer just to get the 2 points.

I answer sometimes to be funny, or if it's a serious issue (like someone's health at risk) I'll answer in a serious tone. I don't answer to try to get best answer though. That is an added bonus if it comes along. If it doesn't, I know I still answered with my heart.

Yeah, it's not fair, and they aren't the only ones doing it. It's just part of what we've signed up for here.
Try not to let it get to you. There's no prize at the end of the point game, anyway.
Just set point/level goals for yourself, and don't worry about the other guys.
Or, better yet, just have fun and don't think about ANY of it!
