playing field so to speak. Put everyone on equal pay say, $100,000 a year, doing the same job that they do and gave everyone the same houses, 2000 square feet, same car, BMW and forced everyone to treat others with respect and dignity. Everybody would reset back to zero. Nobody would have any unfair advantage of having riches or connections of power, bam we would all be equal classes. WOULD THERE BE LESS CRIME ? WOULD THERE STILL BE POMPOUS ******* WHO THINK THERE BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE? WOULD WE LOSE OUR IDENTITIES AS INDIVIDUAL PEOPLE? COULD THAT BE A UTOPIAN EMPIRE WHEN THERE WAS NO JEALOUSY, RACISM, HATE CRIMES AND DRUG CARTELS? YOU GUYS HELP ME, INFORM ME. COULD THIS BE THE PARADISE THEY SPEAK OF IN THE BIBLE?

Sounds like socialism to me!!

Why should everyone make the same money? Why should a construction worker, who sweats and works hard all day long in the hot sun make the same money as a person punching data into a computer in an air conditioned office?

There would be no less crime. There would still be greed, that is human nature.

You're not going to erase hatred in this world, you are living in fantasy-land. There has always been hatred, that's not going to change now.

The Bible tells us that Christ will come back and make all things right. But until then, the world will be as it is.

No. It would never be a utopia if people have to be forced to do anything. Assuming Liberalism is correct, just redividing the wealth would solve most of the other problems. Since there would be the same level of wealth, there would only be one class, and there would be no class differences. Since everyone has the same money, there would be no reason for financial crimes. There would be plenty to do so that there would be no time to do hate crimes. Plus if they broadened the definition of marriage, there would be less jealousy, because if someone liked 2 people, they could marry both and not make either feel left out, nor have any need for affairs.

However, consider this. If everyone had the same money, inflation would rise like crazy. So soft drinks might cost $1000 each. Just creating an equal floor would not eliminate human greed. Some would not be satisfied with the $100k salary since they have this need to put themselves above others and have more than their share. So there would be just as much embezzlement, robbery, muggings, etc., as before. If everyone could live a moderately affluent life, it would be boring as heck, and drug use, pornography, etc., would be rampant as means to deal with the emptiness and pain.

The need to feel better than others comes from insecurity and a sense of not ever having enough. It is a condition of the human soul and can never be solved through external means. Your scheme would not produce a true utopia or paradise, but the false peace that lasts for 3.5 - 7 years or whatever.

this sounds moral and a really nice thought but human nature is to excel, somebody will still influence a large group of people to get advantages and unfortunately that includes stepping on peoples toes to get there. by stealing and cheating

second thing it what you say did work out then why would everyone need a BMW and 6 figure income? why not just a good running car and mediocre income?

Anywhere where all the citizens drive BMWs would be a great place to live!

...but no, even that wouldn't end all our problems because somebody would get in a tissy fit over their BMW color.

Life would be boring if we were all the same and there would be no challenges, no upgrades, no inventors, no new ideas....just flat out boring!

but on the other hand, I wouldn't mind at all if we all got $100,000 a year. lol
