Your feedback and suggestions on Web Designing?

Question

I am a novice and have created my website www.childrenshoppy.com on web publisher of MS OFFICE. I have no background about technicalities of web designing. Can you suggest me about making the site more attractive including its contents. I want to make it useful to the children and their parents.

I think newborn, toddlers are more appropriate for names (than small children and senior children) tages on your site map. Put in age ranges for Children 3-5 for other tags you have products for.
What is a senior child?

Personally the horiscope page should be removed. You shouldn't mix your religon with your business.

Firstly, the title at the top which says 'Children Shoppy', i recommend changing into a banner which has a Title and possibly a logo and tells more about the aim of your website. I would also recommend not changing your background on different pages, Eg. Keeping it the same for all otherwise it can become confusing. The current background for the home page is simple, the text is clear on it and doesn't look bad and so i would keep it.

Also regarding your title on the home page, move down the bit which says 'Home' so as it's not crushed against the top bit. You have all that space on the home page but your not using it. The fonts and colours of the text are clear and readable so nothing to change their.

I like how you give links to 'Children' sites so that parents can buy nappies etc. and so don't change that, though maybe add more links and expand upon what they need such as,

"From birth, babies require apporximatly X nappies a day. You can get these from -Insert Link-. This amount is shortened by the time they reach 1 year of age".

On your contact page, you have a grey box on the left hand side that is doing nothing, so remove it. Possibly also add some text with the email address such as

"If you have any general enquiries or would like to give some feedback, please email..."

I like your newsletter page also as it is different to the rest by having images. Try adding more images throughout the site such as when talking about what shops to pourchase products from, try adding a company logo that links to the site. This will benefit you in the long run.

When on the Bhrugusamhita page the useless grey box returns so ditch it. Add the background from the home page but keep the brown ovals with the text displayed, it makes it stand out and so encourages the reader to, well read on. And, like the answer before mine, try rollover effects once you become more familiar with Designing sites.

Overall, a good site that could benefit from a makeover and enhanced pages. Keep up the good work.

And as a last note, this is not to make fun of or mock your abilities, it's just to give helpful advice that can benefit you in the long run.

Hi,
U could include images related to the theme of your site. Also, give rollover effect on the btns which are at the left hand side. Plus, it seems as if u have cut out the btns from an area that had a red background, since, the red area is still visible.
I am sorry if u felt bad that i have pointed out only mistakes, but my intention is not bad, don't feel dejected, just take a look at different sites related to your site's theme and take some inspiration! And, let us know when u make any changes :)
I would also like to say that u have done a gud job even though u have no designing background. Keep trying!

the fron page is good..but you have to change the background of the first two link pages...make it simple and attractive..others are good...
