It's a good film, right? I mean, admittedly, the bad guy is comically clichéd and two-dimensional, and the plot is a bit predictable and melodramatic at times; but overall, I enjoy the film quite a bit. It's better than that crappy third 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movie, at least.

I didn't like it, but that's only because I don't like post-apocalyptic movies. But I have Costner's "3000 Miles to Graceland", so I bet I'm the only person who liked that.

I didnt think the third pirates movie was all that great either... and yeah, it did remind me alot of waterworld =)
The soundtrack and scores from waterworld are great, and since i watched it as a kid, it had some profound effects on the way i saw life (this and all other post-apocalyptic type movies like mad max and escape from ny/la)
But yeah... it wasnt that bad... hell Universal Studios had a waterworld show lol

No - I thought it was pretty good too. I'm not a Costner fan, but Hopper makes anything interesting. I have not seem Pirates III yet, so I cannot compare/comment.

its OK but i think you are very wrong about Pirates of the Caribbean! Its the best set of movies of all time. but if you don't like that kind of thing i UNDERSTAND.

i like waterworld as well. when it came out that movie was quite groundbreaking. despite the cheesy plot, the movie was action packed and it's also funny.

i only saw it through the waterworld show in universal studios. it's my cousin's favorite movie so i guess you're not the only one
