Been there. Piece of advice - no job is worth that. Take your sick leave and look for a different job. If that is not an option then go to a counselor or get a good self help book on dealing with stress. There is always some stress in any job so it is good to get the tools to learn how to deal with it.
I'm not sure how you would go about finding a good one. If I need council I usually go to my pastor.

There isn't anything to be embarrassed about. We all go through stressful times and sometimes it's good to have someone on the outside to tell you what you need to hear.
Go to your minister and talk with them and get emotional and spiritual counseling. Writing things down each day to deal with the problems you have can help us to see things in a clearer light, too. I've done that in the past but sometimes we do need more than that and hopefully your minister can help you with that.
If things are really bad right now, you might want to go to your family doctor and ask about getting a note to take off for two weeks while you go through the counseling. Sometimes that break can make a big difference as you relax and think about it and get it in order before going back.
And maybe you need to find another job if this one is going to be like this all the time. It's better to get another job than to go crazy or have a stroke or heart attack in this one.
Take care of yourself and God bless.

There's nothing wrong with seeing a counselor. Sometimes it's easier for people to see things that aren't actually involved. My insurance company has a list of counselors and their credentials. I usually try 2-3 counselors just to see which one I click with. That's the one that I go to. I mean what's the point if you don't feel you can talk to them. Try a few in your area and see which one you feel most comfortable talking to.

First off, there is NOTHING wrong with going to a counselor.
Second, the next time you go to your doctor, tell him about your stress problems and ask for recommendations for counselors. By law, your doctor will be required to give you a couple different names to choose from, and most of the time, your doctor will give you the names of who he/she thinks is the best.

It would help if I knew where you live. Look for therapists that are licensed in your state. Talk to them on the phone before booking an appointment. Find out if they have at least five years experience. Ask them what they specialize in and how they think they can help.

Don't be embarrassed because you want to talk to a councellor. It' s a positive way you're helping yourself. As for a good councellor , they all have degrees of education. If you go to one and you find you might like to go to someone else, you can always change councillors. good luck. bettyk

you require counselling for your problems. having accepted of the problems, remedy is not counselling. remedy is in sorting out the problem. if you are not able to cope up with your work load, how counselling will help. if you can tell me the exact nature of problem in work place, i can suggest remedy for you.
