Firstly it depends which level of cricket you are referring to i.e. International, school etc.
Most Common Wealth countries have a national cricket team.
Keep in mind that only some have Test Playing status, which is different from One Day status.
The governing body, The International Cricket Council, lists the following Test playing nations:
Australia, England, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh.
In the One Day version they recently added Ireland and Kenya to the rop rankings.
They also differenciate between full, associate and affiliate countries. This is where you will find the "smaller" cricket playing nations.
If you go to the ICC website, there is a tab for "development" and by "regions" which includes the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, Africa and Europe.
You will be amazed at how many countries play and develop cricket.
There is also woman's cricket to take note of.
