Yes, ignorance is bliss. What you don't know, and don't HAVE to know, will not hurt you. For example, my now ex-boyfriend didn't have to tell me he'd totally leave me for someone better, but he DID have to tell me he cheated on me ((lovely bloke, isn't he?)). I didn't have to know that he'd leave me for someone better, but if he hadn't told me he cheated then it would have exploded from him eventually. But then again, if he cheated and didn't tell me, and we still got married, had children etc. then I would never have to know and it wouldn't hurt. So definitely - IGNORANCE IS BLISS.

Ignorance is not bliss. However, a lot of people ignore information anyway. For example, of the top ten causes of death, eight are preventable by lifestyle changes, such as more exercise, a better diet, stopping smoking and wearing a seatbelt. But people ignore that.

Definitely not bliss. What you don't know won't hurt you now but it eventually comes back to chomp on your butt. Now, how blissful is that?
