it's one thing to leave the luxuries behind, but do you think security will protect her from violence? will she be harmed? even wind up dead? and does she deserve to be in jail in the first place?

She will be away from the general prison population the majority of the time. Should she serve time for 3 DUIs? He11 yes. She already has had her time decreased from 45 days in jail to 23 for good behavior. What the good behavior was is a mystery to me.

Celebrities don't deserve special treatment from the law any more than the common person. She's been pulled over repeatedly and had numerous police reports filed on her by other people. If she is harmed she is harmed ... it happens, not saying it's right but she's there for a reason ... I highly doubt she'd wind up dead. Prison is where people get killed mostly and do you really think that any guard would put their job on the line by not protecting her since the Hilton family could have them fired if she did die and no one tried to save her? Yeah ... They would save their own butt as well. I don't know how bad you think jail is ... my brother is a cop. I've seen the insides of jails and they aren't barbaric or rotting with rodents and continual fist fights in civil jails. At the most she'd be picked on and scared a bit.

Paris deserves to go to jail just like anyone else who committed the same act she did would. I frankly applaud the judges that have the guts to make the spoiled rich pay the same penalties for their actions as the rest of society. As to her getting harmed I am sure that the jail will make all sorts of "special" accommodations to ensure her safety. It might do her some good to realize that she's only human like the rest of us.

Yes she deserves to be in jail. She's slipped through the cracks cuz she's got money and status. It's unfair for the rest of us that she be allowed to get away with things that the rest of us can't. Besides, this may be a blessing in disguise for her, she clearly needs some discipline. This is real life, not a game, whatever consequences happen.....she should have thought about it, just like everyone else. Consider, if this didn't/doesn't happen, she may have found herself in a worse situation in the future due to habits of pushing the limits.

I have a better question. why Paris Hilton has not been in jail yet? if you commit the crimes she has commited you would not be so lucky.

Money matter? YES!!!!!
police officers won't treat you as they do with her. so fair and fair alike.
that will show that there is not a law for the poor, and anothe r for the rich

She deserves it! She got drunk and got behind the wheel of a car! She could have killed someone! She is very lucky she hasn't yet with her poor selfish behavior. I do not feel sorry for the poor little spoiled rich girl. She needs to pay for her crimes just like the rest of us.

I think she should get MORE than 45 days. I think she should be denied all luxuries just like a real prisoner. I also think some fat prison chick should teach her a lesson.

yes, like everybody else she should not be above the law. drunk driving kills. my best friend lost her whole family because of a drunk driver. I have no sympathy for drunk driving. she needs to learn a lesson. the only problem is that her IQ is equivalent to a carrot.
