There is an appeal to innocence as long as it doesn't become dangerous naivety. Children should be innocent; adults should be kind but not ignorant of the potential of evil.

Ignorance is fine if the person is conscious of their ignorance (I am ignorant of the procedures for brain surgery). It is when we are ignorant of our ignorance (I am innocently flirting with you and you don't like it) that our innocence loses its appeal.

Well, innocence isnt really ignorance in my opinion...ignorance to me is when you know there is something more to life, more than you can see yourself, but you just choose not to see it and judge everyone else who doesnt think the way you to be an idiot...and innocence is simply, literally not knowing something exists...innocence is like a lack of knowledge...thats all, and there is nothing wrong with that, because we´re here to learn anyway, and so eventually you will lose some of your innocence with time, but you will be wiser for it....and ignorance is a state of mind...its a choice....i know that many people also grow up not knowing any better and just thinking that their way is the only right way...i understand that its not all their fault...especially when they were younger, because its normal for children to believe what their parents tell them is true, but once you´re older...you should be willing to open your mind and eyes to seeing the world in your own way....and of course you cant blame a person if he/she doesnt come to that conclusion either, but to literally think that anyone that doesnt have the same skin colour as them or the same religious beliefs...or any other unimportant similarities like that is wrong...well, im sorry but i think that any adult has the power to stop and think, "why does it matter?". Because it doesnt.

I don't think that it's any type of "ignorance." I do believe that some can find it attractive or appealing, or just cute. I also believe that someone isn't just all innocent or not, but that they can be innocent or naive regarding certain issues, things, beliefs, or subjects. Of course that should go unsaid, but you never know who is reading. We have all been that way at one time or another, but have wised up naturally, or have had the innocence ripped from us in other ways. Usually by ignorant people.

Your question has to be answered within a cultural context. The term, 'naive', in English is anything but flattering. But in Asia, it translates to 'innocence' which is considered a very positive trait in a person. They are often surprised that we can make that distinction.

It's probably a kind of ignorance but not always attractive.
