I'm an Aussie, travelled around the world last year, first stop SanFran, Nappa Valley, Yosemite NP, (amazing), NYC, Washington DC, Niagara Falls, than of to old London and Europe.... Americans were so amazingly hospitable, Middle America quite conservative, all only new of the popular stereotypes of Aussies, despite both Nations fighting on the same side in every modern war, great people. As a result I think Aussies expect greater acknowledgement when abroad and we are slightly surprised when it's just the stereotype we're perceived as.

By the way Vegemite MUST only be used in a VERY THIN layer, not like peanut butter or jam ! (jellow). It's a vegetable extract contains a lot of vitamins & minerals, especially from the B group. But please only use VERY THINLY on buttered toast.

I think most Americans have a positive image of Australia and Australians. Steve Irwin had a lot to do with sparking our interest. We all loved him. Because of him, I'd love to visit your country some day.

I think the accent is lovely. Other than that I would consider everyone separately based on their own character =)
