My dad is telling me to at least look at a few, and says he has not had any problems with his Amanti in the 2 years he's had it. He bought it brand new, and that's what he's recommending to me, to buy a brand new Kia.

JD Power Ranks Hyundai #3 (behind Porsche and Lexus) in Initial Quality and Consumer Reports ranks them #7 in long-term reliability...Mercedes is dead last at #36 and no American or European brand makes their top 10. They have the best safety features and prices for the money. Hyundai/Kia is the #7 selling brand in the US market behind Nissan and far ahead of the #8. Hyundai is the Mercury to Kia's Ford if you know what I mean. All cars have 5 yr 60K mile bumper to bumper warranty and 10 yr 100K powertrain. Parts are slightly higher then American/Japanese brands, but less then European. Resale values are improving and surpassing American brand cars, not close to Japanese yet though.

Kia, a division of Hyundai, has been making much better cars lately. When they first came out, they were junk, like the early Hyundais.
