It has its ups and downs helping to develop good morals but alls twisted to human nature to promote what christians call sin. What are your beliefs?

depends on what religion.
however i have seen many people get their life in order just by going to church it really helps the community so i would say it is having a positive effect.
cant think of anything bad exept it makes people obsessed with a book and they become closed minded to anything else.

Religion is hard wired into our limbic part of our brains...you can thank our primitive barbarian ancestors, its was useful in facing a hostile and unknown universe. Obsolete gene do not die overnght, so we'll be seeing the 'religious experience' in our lives for some time to come.

i am a christian. sin is what it is-sin. if someone did not believe in god they live their lives immorally because they do not realize that they will spend not one day but an eternity in hell. if christians believe all bad thing are sin, which they are, they spend their lives trying to do their best,be kind,not steal,murder cheat or disrespect others . how then can religion be bad?

religion can be either depending on how it used in ones life. if it creates inner peace and contentment with life and the hereafter then its good. its how it affects your life and your relationship with god. when it becomes bad is when people use it to judge other people and condemn them. thats not what god is all about. to be truly one with god you need an open mind and an open heart

Proven fact, religious people live longer than those who aren’t. If you look at every single nation who doesn’t have religion in their lives, the suicide rate is hands down higher.

I think its good. Provides inner peace, it can guide you, but you also have to think for yourself and decide what you think is right and wrong.
