I would think the mechanical engineering major, but I could be wrong. It just seems that a lot of computer jobs are going overseas.

If you are looking toward the future (which I think is admirable), always go for the more general education. It is impossible to know what the future may bring, and which jobs will be in demand in the future, but the better your overall education, the more flexible and adaptable you will be. Devry will train you to do an exact job, and you will be good at that job as long as there are jobs like that available, but they don't provide a general education. MTSU will provide you with an education, and will assume that training is something you can get in a job. You may need to retrain several times during your career, but you will never need to be reeducated.

I would go for the networking gig. In a world where everything is technology based, networking is going to be everywhere and its not going to die out anytime soon. Advances in this field will require skilled technitians and researches for the future. Do what you want to do most of all. If you aren't happy with your career you won't be happy in life.
