Gads, yes!

Once, my wife and I lived upstairs from her dad. She and I worked different shifts and I got home quite late, would watch TV for an hour or two and then go to bed. She had already been asleep for hours.

On one occasion, I fell asleep on the floor with the TV on. At about 4:00 AM, Dad called up on the phone and politely asked me to go to bed as he could hear me snoring, downstairs, two rooms away.

This was in a 140+ year old New England house. I thought they built them better back then.

No, but I used to hear my upstairs neighbors have sex at three in the morning. My bathroom has an overhead fan which affords a certain amount of privacy when I'm peeing.

Yes. I eventually had to lay and extra layer of wall with sound proofing. Still, that lunatic talked so loud that sometimes even that wasn't enough.

I would usually turn the AC on just to have a hum.

I run a fan anyway, I don't like hearing every little sound that happens.

But now my new alarm clock actually has nature sounds on it, and those are great to fall asleep to.

No, but I stayed in a hotel like that. I wanted to duct tape the people in the next room's mouths shut.
