why don't you do what is right for you. what is making you feel trapped ? there is always away. If a person is making you feel that way, talk to that person if it is your job, change jobs. if you are depressed see a doctor. remember no one could make changes in your life but yourself so do what makes you happy and be truthful to yourself and everyone around you.
life is to short to be miserable, so go ahead and get help, good luck

Know the difference between really being trapped (you signed a contract, like getting into the military, and there is no reasonable alternative) or just feeling trapped. If the former is true, focus on how to get involved in things which will make your predicament more pleasant, and realize that this, too, shall pass. If the latter, you need to think about what the reality is. If you hate your job or your major at school, you really can change them. What is keeping you from doing so? Sometimes it takes just the courage to say, "You know, I thought I really wanted to be an accountant, or a law student, but now that I'm there, I realize that this isn't what I expected at all, and I want out." There is no shame in changing your mind.

Well, you won't always be trapped, you know. Just keep that in mind. You can plod thru every day and dream of and plan what stuff you want to do when the situation changes.
Keep yourself in good physical shape so that when the time comes, you will leave your situation in the best shape possible. I also read that exercising elevated mood, it releases natural chemicals that make you feel good, which you could use right now.
Prayer and seeing the whole picture of your situation are also helpful.

Think about the things that make you unhappy and cut them out. I have in a crappy job working with crummy people. I wanted to work at the same place as a couple of my friends, but my parents said it was a bad idea and I didn't know what to do. I decided to go for it and now I work with my friends and see them everyday. Its great and I dont regret it one bit.
My advice is to pursue what makes you happy.

Just meditate on it a little and think about an option you may find there to be
and just tell the truth soon
even if it hurts you or others
they will get over it and the world will go round
