No, but in Kansas, the directions included "turn left at the intersection where there is a white horse standing by a red shed"!

Yes, As a matter of fact, I was on my way to meet friends at
a steakhouse out of town and they told me to look for a herd
and sure enough there was a herd and next door was the steak house and this is not even Texas. It was amazing.

No, the cows were on the "right". Hmm, maybe I was coming from the opposite side.

Hah, no! But I've been told to "turn left after the row of pine trees" along a stretch of road that had lots of rows of pine trees.

Yep...........
was told, once , to follow the fence line down
y'onder fur about a mile. You'll see an old tree
on your right.... turn right on the path just past it.
When you see an old house on your right, turn
left......go about a half a mile and cross the creek...
first road (?) on your right...turn ... you'll run smack
into the barn !!!!

No, but if someone needed directions to my house, that phrase would likely pop up.
