Oh Yeah I love that song. Elvis really poured out his heart to his wife on that song. I think its about a woman who is being suspicious of her husband and he is trying to tell her hey its OK, I wouldn't lie to you or anything like that.. My ex used to sing that song to me and we would laugh about it..

Yes, I like the song. Actually, though, I prefer the version that Dwight Yokam did back in the early 90's to Elvis's version, although, Elvis was certainly no slouch when it came to singing that song. As for what the song is about, this song is pretty much straightforeward. The song is sung from the man's point of view, he is telling her that they can no longer go on if she's going to be overly suspicious of him all the time.

It is one of the "Kings" finest recordings. That and the Viva Las Vegas song he did - what a waste to loose him in the manner which the media portrayed his death. I do not remember though if these songs were released during his addictions or if they were done clean and sober - thanks for the question - I will now have to "google" before going to bed to find out THAT Question - Goodnight and good luck!!!
