one time my mom came in with a belt and told to take down my pants and panties and bend over and spanked me with the belt for about 5 minutes and then with a hairbrush for about 3 minutes and finished with a hand spanking. After she was done she expalined to me I recieved all that because of three F's on my report card that came in the mail. I was able to sit down for the rest of the day.

ok some of you think child abuse is spanking. child abuse is when you hurt your child to the point they need medical attention. My mom may have spanked me very hard but not to point I needed medical attention.

Mine was 22 years ago. Don't know what hit me actually. The slap came out from nowhere. It was because I was reading a book my conservative parents disapproved of.

I wasn't ever spanked without some sort of warning! Even when my Dad was drunk He would say this will stop you from crying! I was a baby then. When my Dad was sober he never spanked me! My Mom believed this way: Spare the Rod You spoil the Child. I was spanked once by my Mom with a warning back in my Child hood she caught me telling a lie! To do with gum and gum wrappers. It was a minor lie but it was a lie nevertheless. My Mom hated liers. I don't think I've told any lies since! I wasn't ever spanked without some sort of warning.. even the kids at school that harassed me and yes spanked me gave me some sort of warning.. They would say You're such a goody 2 shoes you're making us not so goods look bad so your going to get it! Then they would spank me! Now you know how I chose my nickname cause what I was called.. Now they if they read this and remember they will know who I be!

Just a few minutes ago, I was sweeping the kitchen floor and my boyfriend walked up behind me and slapped my butt:)
BTW, what you Mom did to you is wrong and she can get in big trouble for that! Tell another adult that you trust or a school counselor, or call the police. It is child abuse and nobody deserves that. I used to be abused also as a child and I know it isn't fun, tell someone and get out of that horrible household.

Everyone has a different perspective on spanking and that is where the problem comes in. What your mother did was excessive and uncalled for. She was being abusive.

I think that was a bit too much,just a good talking too might would help you,then she could say get better grades or you'll get a spanking next time..

The last beating/spanking I received I knew it was coming. I ran away from home. She caught me. Made me come home at the end of a knife. And beat me from head to toe with an extension cord.

spare the rod spoil the child. well if your mom knows you are smart enough to get better grades then she is just trying to get you to do better in school. but if you are unable to learn, and she knows it ( i doubt you are unable to learn because you are using a computer) then she should not have done that. in any case what you describe is a bit much, but hey, if you get better grades next time i guess it wasn't all bad ;)
