Go to www.bavauto.com for the sensor. The part number is 65 81 6 905 133 . Costs about $30.

If your bulb is coming on and off, you are probably too late for cleaning the contact. Arcing has probably melted parts of the contact away. Look inside your bulb holder - at the contact that touches the bottom contact of the bulb, if you see a "C" shaped contact, it's too late. A proper contact should be "O" shaped. A new bulb holder is just a few dollars even from the dealer.

If you MUST do a "band-aid" repair (ie; this is temporary = don't use beyond a week), if you are nimble enough, wrap a little aluminium foil around the worn contact. Make sure the foil wraps nicely around the contact and no excess foil sticks out in any direction (could short and blow your fuse). The foil will temporarily bridge the missing contact material and allow better conduction.

you need to take the bulb out of it,and clean the contact where it touched in side of it then it will make good contact, don't do it with the lights on though it will blow a fuse, but that's probably whats wrong with it,if that doesn't help it replace the bulb, the contacts on it may be worn down some, and that will cause this also, when i get them in the shop that do this i usually just replace them, this way i don't have to worry about a customer coming back for the same problem, good luck i hope this helps.

Both above answers are right.Loose contact is possible.
Another important factor is the indicator relay.please get this checked and replaced. This relays works the indicators while ignition switch is on.And It will switch to park light when ignition is off.Likely u could have left your indicator for long hours (as park light ) to the side which is having problems now.The contact could be melted or coils weaken inside the relay.
I have had this problems with my 528i.
I hope u got the answer to your problem.
