They are building nuclear weapons and they are trigger-happy. What do you think? This has happened many times before.
The last time it worked was unfortunately WWII. Why do you ask? Because that was the last time we had a president with balls to make the hard choice.
We did what was needed. We nuked them to crush their will to fight, occupied their territory and installed US general as defacto dictator to shove democracy down their throats. Fast forward to current events...all we have get from Japan now is quality electronics and cars. I would say that worked out fine.
If it aren’t broke...do it again.

After the debacles in Afghanistan and Iraq, the US would be well advised to reconsider any plans they may have about attacking Iran. The Iranians are probably the most intelligent and well educated of the fundamentalist Arabs, with some semblance of a civil society. Attacking Tehran would be another sad example of America eating its poor young, while Wall Street boogied.
If Washington wants to subdue Iran, it must be brutal, and we don't have the guts, anymore. I personally would find it intensely satisfying if the entire country were incinerated; however, that's what the Iranians desire for us. They know that a man whose eyes are as close together as Geo. W.'s isn't a tactician.
April 1980: remember Carter's failed rescue attempt of the 40 American hostages and the awful images of incinerated American helicopters in the Iranian desert sand?

We should attack Iran to save our hides. But during the middle of the engagement e should change the rules of engagement so that we cannot win and then we should undermine the effort for political gain.

no,or else it would be another iraq.but if iran will continue ignoring the international community on its nuclear program and keep on bullying the other countries like israel, great britain, the US,etc.and trying to hostage some innocent american people maybe it's time for united states to deal with them more seriously.
