Considering the current crop, Senator John McCain is far and away the only sane choice.

Ron Paul
Look at Ron Paul’s Record:
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.
He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.
Now, does that sound like a trustworthy person or what?

I would trust my candidate, Mike Gravel. He would be an old-school President, much like Eisenhower. One with brains and good judgement, instead of cheap charisma, which is all most of the other candidates seem to have. I woudnt trust 16 out of the 18 candidates with the Presidency. Gravel and Ron Paul are the exceptions to that. I dont mean to say that the others are bad people, Lord knows Kucinich is a good man, but I just dont think they should be President. Most of them I just dont trust.

(If youre interested in seeing for yourself what kind of President Gravel would be, watch his speech from the Democratic Winter Meeting. Its in 3 parts on youtube and I'll give you the link to the first part. The other two are there as well)

i think of Hillary could make a stable President. a number of the media are resistant. If there is something Hillary says the media possibilities it as much as make her seem undesirable. Like what she reported approximately Obama's minister. She became asked this question and gave an trustworthy answer and media makes her seem undesirable. the placement approximately being below hearth and what she reported is being twisted. you comprehend i think of if Obama gets in his spouse a woman would be there additionally. I wager she could have lots to declare additionally. I wager she would be able to be giving Obama a number of her in positioned, precise or incorrect.

Ron Paul if you don't want a soon coming police state. Anyone hear of people getting fired who complained the new voting machines were innaccurate? How about Internet 2, free access but Govt monitoring. How about new 'detention camps' HERE in US as KBR a sub of Haliburton got $400mil contract to be locking someone up in the NEAR future.
Did we get a voice in any of this? That 'old piece of paper-according to the Pres of the USA(GD too I think)' must be a thorn in Bushco's side.

What things to get a lot worse are you talking about? Are there any independents running that are not associated with the democratic or republican parties?

Tonight, I would have to go with Mitt Romney.
He is the only one I know with a clean personal life.
We have numerous divorces, husband cheating, drug using, & ambulance chasing - I am not really rich. Sad group.
Romney has been married faithfully for over 30 years, he cleaned up the SLC Olympics, he is worth billions & needs nothing from being president. Well educated, looks good.
Conservative but with moderate edges. Very pro-military.
What is not to like. I am not considering religion because I have only read his religion but no other canidates. Are they heathens? Or media does not want to bash them?

I like some of them.. I don't like a lot of them... who is the very best.. I don't know. whom do i trust.. none of them.
Isn't it sad that not one of them I feel i can trust...and that is because they are politicians and to become that, they must become dishonest.
So if our country gets in real trouble.. I don't know..even tho I am a Democrat.. I might have to say Giuliani.. not because he is the most honest.. not by a long shot.. but because he is tough.. and that might be what we need. We surely do not need this wanna be dictator we have now.
